Weekend with the Plotts!

Well about a month ago Jackson received a phone call from his brothers Travis and Radlee asking if they could come up along with the rest of the family and celebrate all the February Birthdays together on the 18th of February. Travis and Radlee's birthday is on the 18th and Jackson's is on the 25th. So Jackson said, sure why not, we honestly didn't think much would come of it because of the two Plott babies that were both due around February. Well about a week and a half before the 18th, Radlee texted Jackson and asked if we were still planning on it. Which we were surprised to hear that the visit was still planned to happen but realized we better start working on getting things ready for the 18th. Jackson asked for the day off at work only a week before so he couldn't get it off and with me asking for the last week of February off for Emily's homecoming, I really felt like I didn't have the right to ask for anymore days off. Either way, we made it work. We got our spare bathroom ready by buying a shower curtain since we haven't needed one in there till now. And I just LOVE my new shower curtain!! :) We also bought a new dining room table!! I've always wanted one but could never really afford to do so. So we looked around and found a really great deal on a table for our new home. It can seat 8 people and has an extension to put in the middle! I LOVE it!! :)
Well the 18th arrived, everyone was able to come up and visit except for Sara and Travis because she went into labor 2 days before the 18th, and gave birth to Skyler February 17th, (What a close call on that one lol) Anyhow, I had to work all day Friday and work 9 hours on Saturday so I didn't see much of what went on or was not able to hang out very much. Jackson slept part of the day because he had to work Saturday night. But for the time he was awake, he said that the family had a blast just hanging out together playing with Jackson's Xbox and Wii. Kandra was able to come up with her new 3-week old baby Emery, so that was an unexpected surprise to see the both of them make it to the family get together as well. It sure was great to see them though. Well not much more to say about the weekend since I really wasn't present for the most part, but there were lots of pictures taken, so I'll just post some pictures now to kind of give an idea of what went on this last weekend. But overall, it was a great short visit and a "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" shout out to Travis, Radlee, and Jackson! And Congratz to Emery and Skyler for joining the February Birthday month!

Valentines Day!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! Yes, this post is about a week later, but with work and the joys of life, this was the soonest I could make a post. Anyhow, Jackson and I celebrated Valentines day on Monday the 13th since I had to work Tuesday the 14th. So first off we went to go see the movie "The Vow". Jackson's not much into chick flicks, but he was nice enough to go with me to "The Vow" for Valentines day. It was a great movie and had a good ending, but in my opinion, the ending could have been way better, still good though. So that was fun! Than I had a surprise in store for him!
Jackson loves "Blue Bell" ice cream! I guess he bought that all the time while he was on his mission in Texas, but they don't have a "Blue Bell" factory that makes that type of ice cream here in Utah or Idaho. So I was using google trying to figure out how to get him some. Well I found this website and soon learned that they sale the actual "Blue Bell" ice cream in Provo Utah!! At first I didn't believe it and feared that it was a myth, but I gave it a shot anyway. So after the movie we drove to Provo (45 minutes away) and sure enough, "Blue Bell" Ice Cream!!! :) I was so excited that it wasn't a myth and that Jackson and I were able to get some. Jackson just instantly lit up and was smiling the whole time from ear to ear!! He was so excited to have the original "Blue Bell" ice cream again since he hasn't had some of that since his mission that ended in 2004! So that was Awesome! A great moment for me to do something extraordinary for him! :)
After that we headed home and bought some pizza from "Papa Murphy's". We had a great day!
So for the actual Valentines day, I had to work from 7 AM-7 PM at the hospital, it was a very long busy stressful day, but I received a great surprise around Noon. Jackson sent me a dozen red roses with a teddy bear, a box of chocolates, and a Valentines day card with a love note!! :) It made me light up and smile! It just made my day!! :) I was so excited to take the flowers home and put them in fresh water with the red vase that came with it! :) The flowers bloomed so beautifully within a few days later after getting some fresh water.
So this was how we celebrated our Valentines Day for this year! Love you Jackson and thanx for the Roses!

A weekend in Idaho!

Well, my brother Wade and his wife Cadi had a baby girl on new years day. Her name is Xylie Jo Hawkins and her blessing was this last Sunday, January 29th. So luckily Jackson and I had the time off from work to be able to attend the blessing and meet the new baby.
We left Utah early Saturday morning and drove up to Idaho. Jackson worked Friday night so he slept during the day on Saturday while I went to go visit a great friend of mine, love her to death and have missed her a lot lately! Anyhow, later in the evening Jackson and I decided to go to the movies with my parents since we were all given free movie tickets from our Grandma and Grandpa Hawkins. So the movie we went and saw was "Sherlock Holmes 2". Which the boys loved it!! My mom and I on the other hand loved the action/graphics of the show but were so lost just cause we don't speak their lingo or they spoke so fast that we didn't understand what they were really saying. We'll just have to rent it again someday and put subtitles on. Nonetheless it was still fun.
After the movie we all went to Wendy's to order some dinner. Jackson has been dying to buy my dad and him a "Baconator" sandwich. Jackson and I had a Baconator a week ago and Jackson instantly thought of my dad and wanted him to have one as well. So we went through the drive-thru at Wendy's and ordered the boys a "Baconator" and I ordered a small "Son of Baconator" sandwich and my mom ordered a little roll up, followed by frosty's. Some crazy funny stuff happened in the drive-thru that had us all in tears from laughing so hard. It's one of those funny moments where you had to of been there to see the humor of it or hear one of us tell it since it's too much to type. Either way, it was still way fun!
The next day was the blessing, Wade gave a beautiful blessing to Xylie and after that we went to Wade and Cadi's house for a luncheon. The food was great and I could tell they both put a lot of work into it. We of course took some pictures of Xylie, they weren't the best since we aren't professional but pictures are better than none. Xylie is beautiful and we were glad we had the time off to attend. Later Sunday evening Jackson and I went back to Utah since we both had to work the next day.
Things are going well with us, Jackson is now an "order writer" at WinCo where he'll order the food every night as well as stock shelves. As for me, I love my new job, being a nurse is a lot of work but I do enjoy it. Every shift I've worked I am constantly on my feet. But I really do have an amazing boss, she is just so nice and already gave approval for me to have a few days off for when my sister Emily gets home from her mission. I thought that was so nice of her since I am a new employee, but ya, my boss is great! Than the co-workers I work with are great as well! Everyone is so nice and are so helpful with me in learning my new job. Jackson and I feel truly blessed that Heavenly Father could bless us with this new job!
