On Christmas day, we decided to celebrate that morning right after I got off work since Jackson had Christmas day off. Jackson got up early to put the breakfast casserole in to cook and waited patiently for me to get home. It was a little more exciting this year because we had Maximus with us. I know it sounds crazy to some, but Maximus is family to us. We love Maximus and couldn't see our lives any different without him. Not only that but as much as I love Maximus, he is TOTALLY Jackson's dog, they are best friends, like two peas in a pod! Words could never describe there relationship, Jackson and Maximus are inseparable and you can just see it whenever you are with the two of them. I can also see Jackson's love and parenting skills come into play with Maximus and it just makes me even more excited for the future weeks to come when we welcome a new edition to our family!
So we got Maximus a couple gifts, we got him a new bed/pillow because the blanket we had for him was too small and extremely uncomfortable, plus we figured this pillow would last him for many years to come as he gets bigger. Maximus loved it and sleeps on it every night! Than because Maximus is teething and is in a chewing phase, we got him this cheap deer antler horn for him to chew. We've met quite a few employees at petsmart that have boxers themselves and lots of them said they are great for boxer's teeth and the dogs just love them, plus they last for a long time. When we first gave it to Maximus, his reaction was priceless, he was jumping around barking like crazy at it for a good 5 minutes acting like it was a live animal. It was a great gift to give him, cause it kept him occupied while we opened up our gifts. Jackson and I than opened up our gifts which I was going to write down and tell everyone everything we got, but I didn't want to accidently leave someone out or forget to mention a gift that we got. Thanks family for the great gifts this year! :) I posted pictures of us opening some of the gifts, I of course took more pictures of Jackson so most are of him.
Overall, our Christmas started out great, but by the end of the night Jackson got sick and started throwing up. I felt horrible leaving him home while I went to work but I ran to the store the next morning to get him some stuff to maybe help him feel better. He eventually did get over being sick a couple days later and luckily I had the next day off to take care of him.
The next few pictures after our Christmas photos are of Jackson and I putting together a Gingerbread house the week before Christmas, it was fun and I'm glad we had the time to put it together. That was our Christmas this year, and I'm honestly looking more forward to next year's Christmas when we will have a new baby in our home to spend our Christmas with!
