6 months old!

Braxton is now 6 months old! Almost 7 months as of tomorrow Oct 1st.

His doctor's appt. was on,
September 19, 2013
Weight: 17 lb. 9 oz. (Gained about 3 lb.)
Height: 2' 4.7" (28.7 in)
Head Circumference: 18.2 in
His weight increased from the 25-50 percentile to now 50-75 percentile
His length increased from 75-90 percentile to write on the line of 95%
His head circumference is now barely in the 75-90 percentile, use to be 50-75

He did of course get some more shots, I was looking at his immunization card and it looks like at his 9 month appt., he won't be getting a single shot, yeah!! (we hope).

Immunizations: DTaP, Hib, IPV, Hep B, Rotavirus, PCV, and flu shot

His appt. overall went very well, the doctor wants us to do an x-ray on his hips just to make sure they are still doing well. I'm not too concerned about his x-ray. Than she wants us to go to a specialist to check his head shape. The physical therapist said his head shape looks great, just a little bulge on both sides of his head, so when the doctor was feeling his head she could feel the very slight bulge. So we will be seeing a head specialist next week that will hopefully confirm nothing needs to be done to the head as far as needing a helmet etc (Fingers crossed). Jackson and I have been faithfully working on his head/neck, so we have high hopes.

Nothing to major has happened since his last doctors appt, he did get an ear infection in his left ear about a month or so ago. I would have never known it if he wasn't so hot, his legs felt like they were on fire. Even the doctor that checked him out couldn't believe how easy going and content he was when she was putting probes in his ears, mouth, and nose to check things out. She said most kids would be screaming and crying. The only reason I even thought it was an ear infection was when my friend told me that her pediatrician said a fever higher than 102 usually means some type of infection and that's what Braxton had, 102.5. Glad I got him checked out.

Things Braxton loves: FOOD!! He definitely has his father's stomach! He loves food, he'll eat anything, not picky at all. He gets so excited every time we feed him. I love having him try new things and watching his facial reaction to something new, can't wait to give him birthday cake!  He Loves "Baby Signing Time"(DVD), "Baby Einstein" (DVD), and his jumper. He loves bath time! I end up getting wet anytime he takes a bath. Loves dogs of course. Loves toys and books, an overall happy kid.

He now sleeps in his crib :( as sad as it was for him to now sleep in his crib, he still sleeps really well, about 10 hours a night. He takes about 2-3 naps a day in our bed with his mommy (helps me out a lot on the nights I work).

He now sits up really well without props. No crawling yet. He's still not a big fan of tummy time but getting better at it and lasting longer. He has only 2 teeth, both on the bottom. Has a 3rd bottom starting to show though! Lately, he likes to suck on his bottom lip, don't know why but we see him do that quite often.

Just some pics of some of the things he loves!

Food!

Bath time!

His jumper!

With the dogs!

First night in his crib, slept the whole night as usual!

These pictures were taken at the doctors office for his 6-month doctor's appt.

Looks pretty good after receiving all those shots, heading home!
