Update on Life

Well it's been awhile since I've posted anything and obviously too long since Jackson realized as well and said that I needed to post something as an update etc, so it's about time I did.

Well my procedure went well, the doctor said everything looked good except for my stomach. It looked a little irritated so they took a biopsy of the stomach to make sure it was okay and luckily that test came back fine, (thank goodness). The doctor also dialated the esophagus more than the size it was going into the procedure, so that way it would be easier for me to swallow food. The first couple days were rough because it was a constant pain in the esophagus for a good 48 hours, not just when swallowing but all the time, at least it felt that way. Jackson was a great support for me, he was able to take a couple days off to be with me for the procedure and it was nice to wake up to him by my side after the procedure. The nurse told him I needed to drink some water from a glass with a straw and Jackson made sure I drank all of the water. :) He was sweet and helped me with anything I needed. Since the procedure was in Idaho Falls, we stayed at my parents house for a couple of days and my mom was a great help as well. It's not like I was injured just tired and pain in the esophagus region, but she was still great to have around.
Also, during the break Jackson and I got invted to go to a murder mystery dinnner with some other couples from the ward. It was a lot of fun, we had to dress up in character as instructed on the invite. Jackson was Christopher Lester and I was Desiree Minter (his girlfriend from next door). In this storyline Jackson and I were dating so it worked out perfectly for us. Christopher (Jackson's) mother was murdered and out of the 8 people that were at the dinner we had to follow instructions on our individual character cards throughout the dinner to figure out which one of us murdered Victoria Lester (a.k.a. Jacskon's mom). It was a lot of fun, all the couples dressed up for there character and there were suggestions on the invitation as to what each person should wear. So the pictures I posted of Jackson and I are what we wore for our costume, I like Jacksons costume more than mine but it was still fun and nice to go out and hang with other couples from the ward.

Other than that, I've enjoyed the rest of my break from school. Almost too much that I don't even want to go back, it went by too fast. As much as I love not being in school, I do look forward to being officially done in 5 months and actually graduating!! It seems so unreal to think that graduation is just around the corner. I'm so excited for that! It will be a very hard and stressful semester I assume but in the end, it will be well worth it. Bring on May 13, 2011!! :)
