Well, one year ago Jackson proposed to me at the BROM (B for branch and ROM for PROM), an anual BROM the branch that we were members of would throw together every year. After that proposal the branch president told us that we should come to next years BROM. I never kept in touch with the branch once getting married but I saw on facebook when the next BROM was so I thought it would be way fun to go and see everyone. We decided not to dress up in formals just dress in really nice clothes and it was a BLAST! We were only able to stay for 2 hours due to our work schedule but it was still worth going. We showed up to the dance and we were welcomed by the previous members of the branch including the same branch president we had at the last BROM. He said he was thrilled that we came to the dance and that he even thought about calling us to invite us to come but he never got around to it. So after the branch fed everyone dinner we went to the dance floor and the branch president found us and asked if we would "promenade" for him and have our own dance to ourselves again like the time last year. We said sure why not. So he got on the microphone and said, "We have a special couple here with us tonight, the Plotts. One year ago Jackson proposed to Rachel at last year's BROM which made them
last year's BROM King and Queen, so I am so happy they have come back to visit us tonight and we'd like for them to take the dance floor and start out the dance with just the two of them dancing together and than others can join in eventually." So there we were dancing again in front of everybody to the same song that we danced to last year, "Lady in Red". It was so romantic!! I loved every minute of it! Luckily, I brought my camera and Jackson asked a friend to take a picture of us while we were dancing, which I thought he did a great job, Jackon's face isn't smiling but that's a "Plott" thing. Later on after more dancing we had to leave for work. On our way out the Branch President told us that we made his night and thanked us for coming. I'm glad we went because I was 50/50 on going or not but it was well worth it. So there you have it, exactly one year ago on January 29, 2010 Jackson proposed to me! It was nice to re-live the moment one more time! I'm just glad we are married this time around with no stress of wedding plans! :) Love you Jackson! And thanx for marrying me! :)
