1st week done and overwith!

The picture above is some random picture of a girl I don't know that I found on Google Images but it is totally how I feel, "Overwhelmed"! What a long draining week this last week was. It was good but just sooooo much information. At times I feel so inadequate because there is so much a Nurse needs to know and I feel like I don't know anything. Oh well, I'll just keep the faith that my brain will continue to absorb information. My last day of Orientation is this week on Wednesday and than I start on the actual floor on Thursday and Friday with a preceptor. Nervous about that but excited to finally start training on the floor. Below is a picture of my new badge!!! When I got it my first day of work my eyes lit up and my smile was HUGE!! :) I was so excited and couldn't believe that it said RN and not Student nurse. Crazy!! It's a fuzzy picture but thats what happens to a close up picture.
Well some positive notes about the job that I've come to learn. I have great benefits and lots of employee discounts that change monthly. One of the discounts that I'm way excited about is a Huge discount I get to go to Utah Jazz games! I'm so excited for that because Jackson has told me in the past how he has never been to an actual NBA game and that he would love to go to one. He'd of course like to go to Florida and watch Miami but can't do that for him. But nonetheless I was so thrilled that I'll be able to take him to an NBA game here in Utah! It might end up being next year but still so excited about that. I love giving and doing things with Jackson that are considered to be a "First" for him. Like the Hawaii trip we went on, that was a place he's never been. It is like when you give a gift to someone, it's more fun to give and watch the person's reaction and joy they get from that gift and I Love seeing that happiness and joy I get from Jackson every time I give and get to do something new with him. So ya there's other discounts I get but that was the big one that stuck out to me. On the positive note too, I looked at my schedule for Feb and my boss has me scheduled for at least 40 hours a week plus some extra overtime hours! Feeling way blessed for me to be able to have this job for Jackson and I. This month of January overall has been well for Jackson and I and we look forward for the months that are ahead of us. As for the picture below, still love my new badge!! :)
