2 years old!

Two years old already! I can't believe it, I have a two year old! I get asked all the time from the patients I take care of at the hospital how old my kids are and I keep saying a one year old and a 4 month old and they just give me funny looks and look at me all crazy wondering what the heck I was thinking. Luckily I notice their looks and correct my mistake rather quickly. I kid you not, really weird to say he's two.

His 2 year old doctors appointment was on March 6, 2015

Weight: 32 lb. 9 oz (gained about 3.7 lb. since his 18 months old checkup)

Height: 3' (36 in)

Head Circumference: 20 in

His weight stayed in the 90-95th percentile.

His length increased from the 75th percentile to 90th.

Head circumference went from the 95-98th percentile to the 90-95th.

Well his 2 year well check up went well other than the fact that he is terrified of the doctor or more so terrified of the nurse who gives the shots. He associates the doctor's office with shots so as soon as we turn the corner to go back into the patient rooms Braxton will run the other direction screaming with fear. He luckily didn't have to get a shot this time and due to our frequent visits for Greyson, Braxton has warmed up to the doctors office now. I try not to let Braxton watch Greyson get shots in fear that he will open the door and run out of the office screaming but so far so good.

I've slowly adapted and have figured out how to take two kids everywhere. All these appointments Greyson has had as far as his well check visits and hip check appointments I have learned to bring my ipad and connect it to wifi. The ipad is more of a treat for Braxton. He doesn't get to use the ipad at all at home but anytime I need him to sit quietly in the room, he gets the ipad which has worked so far. It may make me look like a horrible parent but if only people knew that he only gets to play with it when we are at an appointment it wouldn't be so bad, right?

Nothing really new to say about Braxton. Jackson and I were a bit concerned about his speech but the doctor seemed to think he is okay because he does mumble and often mumbles to us like he is having a normal conversation. He doesn't say much but the few words he can say are: mom, dad, dog, eat and snack. He loves to play, especially with our dog Maximus. He loves cars and trains, but loves airplanes the most. He loves to be outside whenever he can. He loves to run and be chased after. He loves to hide and have mommy and daddy find him. He loves food as most boys do. His favorite food for breakfast is sausage. His favorite food for lunch is mac n cheese. His favorite food for dinner is rice. Favorite vegetable is corn. Favorite snack is fruit snacks. 

He is still in diapers and has no desire to be potty trained. He could stay in a wet/poopy diaper all day if I would let him and wouldn't care at all. He HATES getting his haircut!! We might just grow it long for now on, who knows. So much fear of the electric razor. He loves music and loves to dance. He loves to give hugs and kisses especially to his baby brother. He's truly got the most beautiful/contagious smile I've ever seen. We love our wild, rambunctious little Braxton and couldn't imagine our lives without him. Love ya buddy!
