To think that these pictures were already two months ago! Man time flies the older you get. My boys are my life and I can't get enough of them! Hence all the pictures I take of them. :)
Bath time!
Greyson is such a chill baby. Once he makes eye contact with your eyes he'll just smile big, everytime! :)
This is the hooded towel my mom will make individually for all her grandkids, we love them and use them for every bath!
Braxton sleeping.
Napping with mom!
My mother's day gift from my boys!
A day at the store. I'm somewhat getting the hang of taking two kids grocery shopping. I've just learned to get a larger cart!
A day in Chef Braxton's kitchen.
Potty training!
I was bound and determine to potty train Braxton one weekend I had off from work. I went all out and bought stickers, prizes, treats, anything I could use to potty train him. Needless to say the first day had many accidents but by the afternoon he was slowly getting it. The second day was tons better. He never actually went on his own, but he got to the point where I could see him do a little dance to hold his pee in. Luckily I could see that he was doing a little dance that I knew it was time to take him potty. By Monday the "peeing" concept was going well. But poop was another story. No matter how hard I tried I could not get this kid to poop. I tried everything I could think of and he wouldn't go. My coworker messaged me on Monday asking me how potty training was going. I told her great except for pooping and she said her son did the same thing too. In fact he held his poop in for 7 days and they had to give him Miralax just to have a bowel movement. His pediatrician said by him holding his poop in he now has colon issues. In fact a couple years later and he still has to take Miralax twice a day. So with that being said, once Braxton held his poop for just three days I ended potty training. I was so bummed because peeing was going so well but bowel issues is not worth the cost of buying diapers. So needless to say he is back in diapers until he decides he wants to be potty trained. Oh well, he's a happy healthy boy and that's all that matters.
Even let him play with the ipad to get him to poop. No luck at all!
Everyone needs a potty training picture!
Braxton seems to love it when I lay Greyson down on his bed.
Sneaky sneaky dog!
Maximus loves to get as close as he can to Greyson. It even looks like his ear is getting pinched in this picture by the baby. Such a great dog.
I can't get enough of his smiles!
Jackson went outside to take out the garbage and Maximus sat up by the gate waiting faithfully for him to return. Braxton saw him sitting there staring at the gate so he went and sat as close as he could to Maximus to wait for Jackson also. It was too cute!
An evening at the park. My work called to put me on call for 4 hours one evening so I decided since we were all dressed and had shoes on that we would all go to the park. A total spur of the moment idea, luckily Jackson got home just in time to come with us. It was a cloudy day and looked like rain so no one else was there.
One of my favorite pictures! He was looking up at an airplane. You could just see him deep in thought.
Time to try out some finger-painting. He wasn't too sure about it at first.
This picture is a bit hard to see but just wanted to keep for memories. I recently learned from Jackson that as soon as I leave for work, Braxton will run to his window and watch me leave. The first time I saw him there in the window I just bawled. It broke my heart. It still hurts to see him in the window every time I leave but now I roll down the window and wave and tell him I love him! Hope he won't have to live without me too much longer.
Look how tall those weeds are by the window. Somewhere in my plethora of pictures there are some pictures of us out front pulling weeds. The roots on that weed alone was huge! Pictures of that to come next time.
Bedtime stories!
The relief society in my ward was doing a "Be Prepared night" and were wanting to make first aid kits and 72 hour food kits. One of the counselors from the Relief Society asked me if I would come up with a first aid kit for them. Luckily she had a list that I could refer to to get an idea of what to put in a first aid kit. And to be honest, it wasn't a very easy project. Every kit was on a budget of 20 dollars and that was hard to work with on deciding what was needed and what wasn't needed. I had to price everything out in bulk to help with the best price. Either way it was a lot of work and very stressful. I said yes when they asked me if I would help because I really truly want to be more involved with our ward. I want to help out and do service and go to activities etc, but I soon realized that with working full time at the hospital along with fulfilling the duties of a full time mother at home as well, it was just too much.
Either way, I pressed onward and after many tears were shed in stress of trying to figure this out with no sleep at certain times, this was the first aid kit I came up with. I'm pretty proud of myself, I thought it turned out pretty decent for what restrictions I had. Due to the budget most people had to put the stuff in a gallon size baggie to save on cost but I went ahead and got us a really nice box to put our stuff in which has been great. We take it everywhere we go now. As stressful as that was, in the end, I'm glad I could help.
This is what everybody's first aid kid had. Mine has a few extra items in it that had to be cut from the list to keep it at 20 dollars.
Thought this picture was great, and no it wasn't 80 degree weather when I took this picture. :)
Just checking out my baby's hair, slowly but surely it's growing!
