We originally planned this weekend to go down South with Grandma and Grandpa Plott for hunting season but soon realized that due to Jackson's new job we wouldn't be able to get the time off from his work so we had some fun in town instead.
To start it off we decided to go Geocaching while Jackson was at work. I'm always game for a good hunt for geocaches!
Lucky for me, Grandma and Grandpa are starting to like it...I think. :)
Yes I will even look under docks for it, but sadly enough after about 20 minutes we still couldn't find this one.
We found one down in that pipe looking thing.
This was a cool spiral rock pathway/bridge that was built over the lake. Crazy to think about how many rocks are in it.
Found another Geocache through a little bit of terrain!
And another one!
And another one! I love geocaching when you can find like 5 all in one day that are close together.
The Halloween costume we ordered for Braxton came in the mail and we had just bought the hat and glasses to go with it that day so we thought we would try it on and see how he liked it.
He loved it and ran around the room for several minutes!
Love that smile!
Time to carve our pumpkins!
Grandpa was a big help at carving and gutting out the pumpkins! Thank you!
I just love their faces in the next few photos, hence why so many similar pictures.
Grandma keeping G-man occupied!
I took his shirt off cause last year he was really getting into it, for some reason he didn't want to touch any of it.
It was now time to carve out our design in the pumpkins and grandma was great at keeping Braxton occupied with sugar cookies.
Grandpa was a great sport and followed my crazy designs for the pumpkins!
Grandpa did the handprint one for G-man!
Grandpa helped do this one as well.
Time for a little break!
Jackson and I working on our designs.
The one I did.
Jackson wasn't done with his yet and still had lots to do so we figured we would take some pictures of these in case Jackson didn't get his done that night.
Rocketship for Braxton.
Mater was mine, just for the fun of it.
And Greyson's hand and foot prints.
Jackson's pumpkin so far, lots more to go.
The finished sugar cookies, Braxton was in bed by this time. It got to be too late for him.
These are cats.
Jackson finally got his done, well the main part of it.
He wanted to put a flag on it and writing but way too much to do with the time we had.
All of the finished pumpkins together.
I thought Jackson's turned out awesome! Every year I will ask him if there's something particular he wants to carve on his pumpkin and one night while I was at work, he e-mailed me this picture. I looked at this and thought, "really?" How was I suppose to make this into a carving and as far as I got in attempt to making this into a carving was just drawing up the military men. I didn't know how I was going to add a flag or put letters on there, especially as close as those letters were but I figured we could start with the men and work from there.
The picture Jackson sent me to go off of for a layout for his carving.
Not too bad I thought!
The next morning we thought we would get a picture of the pumpkins with Braxton before Grandma and Grandpa had to leave.
And the finished cookies Braxton helped out with.
It was a fun weekend, Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for coming and all your help with the pumpkins and kiddos!
