Happy Thanksgiving!

I've never really cooked a Thanksgiving dinner before so we usually either go somewhere or have our parents come over to help me figure out a Thanksgiving dinner. This year we had Jackson's parents over for Thanksgiving and what a treat that was! As soon as they got here a couple days beforehand we instantly ran to the store and started the Thanksgiving shopping. They have definitely done a Thanksgiving before and took the lead on all the shopping in the store. The only thing I had accomplished was buying a turkey a few weeks beforehand.

The fun shopping cart the boys rode in at Smiths!

I love Greyson's face in this one! Braxton ... well, that's how most of my pictures are of him lol.

After shopping we went home and relaxed for a little bit.

Now that all the shopping was done two days before, we decided to do some Geocaching! I found a street here in town that had like 10 geocaches all within just two blocks, what a steal! Nothing better then getting a ton of geocaches all in one location!

So glad I have a double stroller! The boys just sat in it the whole time.

Sadly while we were off on our Geocaching adventure Braxton got sick. We were headed back to the car and had like maybe two geocaches left and Braxton threw up all over the place. He had so much throw up in him, its the most I've ever seen from the poor kid. Jackson's dad was so nice to run back and get the car and pick us up at the church parking lot that we were at when he threw up. With Braxton getting sick, that kind of threw off our night and kept us home to just relax. Poor Braxton was so sick and had a hard time sleeping that night.  You could just see that his belly hurt and it was a rough night. Lucky for us, Braxton woke up the next day on Thanksgiving feeling much better, I just didn't force any food on him and let him eat the little bits here and there that he wanted. Unfortunately Greyson got the exact same bug three days later, except for I think it was much worse for Greyson. It was so sad watching him be sick. I think this was the first time he ever had the throw up type of sickness. Poor kid. Well that's enough talk of throw up during a Thanksgiving post. LOL

Thanksgiving morning Jackson's dad was so nice to offer to get up and get the Turkey started so I made sure we were up and ready to go to help him out. Dad was great on teaching us what to do, I made Jackson jump in so he could learn what to do.

Yes this is my "mountain man" of a husband ... he believes in doing the "No shave - November" every year and that's what I live with every November. Not my favorite but if it makes him happy.

As I was editing these pictures I realized I didn't get any pictures of Dad Plott and all his work he put into making our Thanksgiving dinner so nice. He truly did everything! I tried to help here and there but he was on top of it and making sure everything got cooked properly and done in time for dinner. I know I couldn't have done it without you! Thank you so much Dad, truly, I regret not taking any pictures of you and all the hard work you put forth in making our Thanksgiving dinner wonderful!!

Greyson looking cute as always before we ate.

Jackson's brother Radlee was in town for Thanksgiving with Jaime's family and were able to stop by for a little bit of our Thanksgiving meal. It was great to see them!

Later on that evening after feeling so stuffed, my sister Emily who had joined us for Thanksgiving was great to offer to stay home and watch the boys while Jackson, his parents and I went Geocaching to help walk off all those calories. I'm so glad I did get this picture of dad geocaching. Once again, Thank you dad for all your help!

That night I went to look for pj's for Greyson and found these. I just had to put him in them! Thanksgiving is over now, time to get out all the Christmas cheer!
He makes a pretty cute elf I think! :)

The morning before Jackson's parents left we decided to open up our Christmas presents that we got each other since we knew the chances of us being together again to open them up later for Christmas would be slim. Now I finally pull out my fancy camera. Lately I haven't been pulling out my camera for much of anything and I'm sure it because in the back of my mind, I'm so behind with all my pictures and the blog that I don't want to take pictures to add to my to-do list. I should have taken a lot more pictures of our Thanksgiving but I can't change the past, maybe next year I'll be better. I do have lots of us opening up our presents to each other though.

I just love this boy! I hope he never gets camera shy like Braxton.

We first opened up Greyson's birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa Plott since his birthday was the next weekend.

Clothes! Can't go wrong with clothes, a little bit big for him now but he'll grow into them.
 Thanx Grandma and Grandpa!

Our gift to Jackson's parents. This year Jackson took charge on what to get them and found some CD's he thought they would like for there many driving journeys they take.

Church clothes for the boys, I LOVE them! I love dressing up my boys to look all nice for church, thanx!

Toys! Every boys dream! :)

The boys got some really cool books from Grandma and Grandpa too!

This was a cute blow horn type thing that made the sound of a choo choo train, Braxton loves it!

I was nominated to open up our gifts from Jackson's parents. We got a skirt for our bed which is wonderful cause it hides our glorious wonders underneath our bed, thanx! And they knew just what color we like! :)

Next was a waffle maker since the boys are always eating waffles!

Thanx for the great visit Mom and Dad! It was great to spend the holiday with you and we appreciate all the help you put forth in making it a wonderful Thanksgiving!
