The birth or our baby girl!

I'm so far behind, but better late than never. Someday I'll get caught up :/ I hope, either way..

The day our baby girl arrived!
I'm not much into taking pregnancy pictures of myself but my friend told me how her kids have asked to see pictures of there mommy being pregnant with them and she didn't have any, so I decided to take a last minute snapshot before we left for the hospital. Yep me being preggers the last couple of hours before she was born.

Jackson worked that night before so he was pretty tired that day. He took a nap any chance he could.

She's here! Due to my first two being born via c-section, this one would be born c-section as well. The doctor said if I by chance went into labor on my own and everything looked good he would consider me to go vag but I wasn't planning on it with us moving, trying to pack up and hit deadlines for new jobs. A c-section sounded easier than playing the waiting game for her to arrive. It was a blessing that we didn't wait because at delivery we found out from our doctor that she too was breech anyway, so c-section it was. All three of my kiddo's were breech! Crazy!

The nurses and Respiratory Therapy (RT) cleaning her up and weighing her. Thank goodness her arrival wasn't as crazy as her little brother's. She did start to breath fast at first and was wet in the bases of her lungs which made her oxygen stats start to go below 90% so RT had to come in and delee the baby and get any wet secretions out of her chest. Luckily that worked and she bounced right back to breathing regularly with adequate oxygen supply. I was very nervous at the possibility of getting another NICU baby.

After they suctioned her out and got her oxygen to come up her respiration's ended up being too fast and needed to slow down for me to feed her. Lucky for me, the nurse suggested I do skin to skin because it will usually calm her down and help her to breath more slowly/regularly. I honestly enjoyed every moment of this due to the fact I missed all this precious cuddle time with Greyson.

Once I recovered we headed up to my postpartum room. The nurses/coworkers "heart attacked" my room. It was wonderful! Oh the perks to working on the hospital unit you recover in lol. All of my nurses were truly wonderful that weekend, I was very spoiled and they took great care of us!

Time arrived for baby's first bath! I was in no condition to give her a bath myself so my husband and I watched my nurse do it for me. She of course did a great job! It was probably good I didn't attempt the bath because shortly after her bath was done while she was warming up I started to feel nauseous and dizzy and knew I was going to pass out soon. When I told the nurse that I was dizzy and nauseous, I apparently looked as white as a ghost and a holler was yelled out of the nursery for help. A rush of nurses/coworkers came into the nursery to help get me back to my bed safely. Yes I was probably over doing it and I probably should have just stayed in bed but I wanted to watch my baby get her first bath. Oh well, all is well and I survived :)

Here's the newest addition to our family!
Karmyn Patricia Plott
Born September 9, 2016 at 8:20 AM.
She was 8lbs 6 oz and 20 inches long.

Shortly after Karmyn's first bath our boys arrived. My mom watched them that day and was so wonderful to take care of them in the chaos of us trying to sell our house. Karmyn was born on a Friday and our house went on the market two days before she was born. My mom had to keep the house clean and keep the boys occupied as best as she could with not making too much of a mess so that way if someone wanted to come take a tour of the house it was ready to be seen. Thanx mom for all that you did for us that weekend and for making sure the house was ready for potential buyers to look at it. Truly, thank you so much! It was definitely not the most wise decision to have a baby and sell a house all in the same week but that's just how all the pebbles landed I guess. (A blog post will be posted about all that chaos later on.) Either way, it was great to see our boys and watch their reaction about there new baby sister.

My mom with our baby girl. Look at all the dark hair!

I cuddled up with Braxton while daddy sat with Greyson for a bit. We did this to focus more on them rather than sister. Just to get them use to the idea while giving the boys attention.

Time for big brothers to hold baby.
Greyson was definitely not interested but Braxton loved her!

I kept my baby in the nursery except for feedings. And sometime in the night it was time for my baby to eat again. The nurses brought me back my baby all dressed up in a cute outfit and different head bow! Another nurse also gave me a new blanket, my favorite! She looked beautiful and made my midnight wake up call all worth it. A baby girl I get to dress up now. Needless to say, I was cuddling up with her any moment I got :) Once again, my nurses were wonderful and made my recovery so much better.

A picture of her outfit the next morning. Less swelling noted too! What a doll?!

Later that day Grandma and Grandpa Plott arrived to meet the new grand baby.

My wonderful mother and sister brought the boys over again to hang out with us. I missed them and loved it when they could come over despite all our house selling chaos we had going on.

The next day my friend Michelle came to visit and brought cute outfits and headbands for Karmyn. Loved it all! After visiting for awhile, we had to play dress up with her. She was a good sport!

A picture of my hubby holding the ipad camera over Karmyn so we could skype with my sister Melanie and her family.

Braxton once again holding her. He loves to hold her and asks to hold her every chance he can.

Just packing up to go home! Thank you again to my wonderful nurses that took care of us and for all my friends and coworkers that gave me gifts and just stopped by to say hi. Now that it's been a few months since this day, I really do miss my old job terribly and just hope I can have the same great relationship with these new employees at my new job like I did with my last job.
