Two month update on our lil' man!

After Braxton's two month appointment on Monday May 6th, I figured I better keep his measurements documented somewhere where I could look it up again someday if I wanted to, plus it lets those who are interested know how he's growing. I'll be posting previous measurements from other previous appointments up on this post too just to catch up.

Well, everything checked out great. The doctor said that the hips are looking good and will follow up with an x-ray at 6 months just to confirm that they are in socket and doing well. The doctor also said she could feel some type of spot on the right side of the back of his head and asked me if Braxton likes to keep his head turned to the right. Which totally impressed me that she could figure that out from just feeling his head. So after confirming that with her, she showed me some neck stretches to do with him every time we change his diaper. And she also said to put him on his tummy lots whenever he is awake just to help strengthen his neck muscles and to keep him from laying on his right side of his head. She also said if I do have him lay on his back, put him in positions where would have to turn his head the other direction to see me.

He also received a bunch of immunizations today as I'm sure most moms know all of them but for my record I'm posting them on here:
DTaP, Hib, Polio, Rotavirus, Pneumococcal, and Hep B. So a total of 3 pokes and one oral. Poor guy, he took it like a champ. Only cried for a few seconds.

And here are his measurements on how he's growing!
May 6th 2013, (2 months appt.):
Weight: 11 lb. 13 1/2 oz.
Height: 1' 11.5"
Head circumference: 15.98"
All measurements in the 50-75 percentile.

March 13, 2013 (2 weeks appt.):
Weight: 8 lb. 3 oz.
Height: 1' 10.3"

March 7, 2013 (1 week appt.):
Weight: 7 lb. 15 oz.
