After completing taxes with my friend Ashlee back in March, we both started talking about upcoming plans and when our next possible chance of getting together could happen. We soon came to realize that she would be coming to Utah for her daughter's dance competition one weekend in April. Once I heard this exciting news, I jumped all over the idea to getting work off that weekend. The dance competition was an hour away from where we lived so she got a hotel to stay in just to be close to the school where they were performing. She invited me to hang out with them that Friday night and have a type of a girls night. She said it would be just her and her two daughters making the trip. Due to Jackson having to work early the next day, Braxton got to tag along with all of us girls.
Quick bath before our night out! Just had to take a picture of all that hair!
Once we met up, we decided to carpool around town in Ashlee's car.
After the dance competition, we went to Olive Garden for dinner. It was yummy, well....everything but the salad. To make a long story short, I found a dead fly in my salad (blah)! Yes, very gross. Our overall night there was very interesting but I'm sure if I ever read this again after printing it in a book, the dead fly part of this post will remind me of our overall evening there.
Ashlee's girls.
Braxton trying out her daughter's hair bows. Pretty cute I think, haha. I hope all my kiddo's get as much hair as Braxton.
Enjoying dessert afterwards. She just loved the chocolate dipping sauce and just dug right in before Ashlee could help her with it. She was so cute!
On the ride back to the hotel, they were watching a movie that was playing in Ashlee's car.
The present Ashlee gave me! An electronic frame to put pictures and videos on to rotate all my favorite pictures/videos etc!! I love it!!
Thank you so so much Ashlee!! I had a great weekend with you and your girls! I always enjoy hanging out with you! It's great to have someone like you that I can just laugh with all the time at the silly stupid things in life. Makes me smile just thinking about our times we've spent together.
And thank you so much for the gift, well all the gifts you've ever given me for that matter. You do so much for me and my family. I often feel inadequate and wonder at times if I even deserve all the love and friendship you give me. How can I be so lucky to have such an amazing friend as you in my life? I sincerely Thank You! For everything! I miss you tonz and can't wait to see you again! Luv you!
Anyhow, on that happy note, while driving home, I instantly remembered that the Easter Bunny would be at Walmart that day. I couldn't remember the exact time that he'd be there at the store, but I just figured I'd take my chances of him possibly being there. Which sure enough, we where his first visitors. We got there right at the start of it, it worked out great.
Braxton overall did really well, he was a little timid and nervous but never shed a tear. Caught him even looking up at the bunny several times. Very cute!
Best buds!
Later on that day, we decided to go to the dog park. It was super windy, so I thought, "lets fly a kite!" It's the kite (with an airplane on it) my parent's bought for him the last time they were in town visiting. We just never got the chance to use it till now. It flew great! I got it up all by myself with no effort! Thanx again mom and dad!
