Last Day of California, Day 7, Thursday

For our last day in California, we decided to stay close to home and have fun at some local places in town since we all had a long day of traveling for us the next day. We went to Chuck E Cheese and my current favorite park in California (Don't know what it's called). Then afterwards, we spent the evening home relaxing getting packed and ready to leave for home in the morning. Here are some pics from our day.

The kiddos riding the rides at Chuck E Cheese! Braxton loves the kiddy rides!
(That was one giant rocking horse!)

Emily and I saw this and had to give it a try. It looked like fun; you sit in it and it makes us feel like we are riding an actual roller coaster. It wasn't too bad.

The twins wanted to give it a try once they saw us riding it.

Some family thought Jackson should try out this machine that shocks your hands to see if he could handle it. The object is to hold on for as long as you can. Jackson was able to hold on the whole time. I don't think they could make the shock too strong for anyone not to handle for safety reasons.

Counting up all our tickets we won.

At my favorite park. We went here when we were little. I don't know why I like it so much, I just think it's fun to get pictures of ourselves in the large real life vehicles.

My favorite one is the airplane and pretending to hang on for dear life! The two kiddos on the far right in this picture where not part of our group. I didn't have the heart to kick them off. So I guess we get a picture with two random strangers in it.

I knew everyone in this picture though! Melanie snapped the picture for us. I just love how the twins where all over Jackson in this picture. So cute! :)

Had to get another try of my favorite pose without the two strangers and with Jackson in it. I love this picture of Jackson, he really looks like he's about to fall off! Haha

This is probably one of my favorite pictures that we've had taken of us both in a long time.

Our Brownie volcanos that my sister made that night for everyone. She designed them to look like the really cool expensive ones at "Rainforest Cafe". I think she did a really good job at copying them! They were pretty tasty!

Well, Friday morning arrived and it was time for us to pack up and head for home. These are the pictures we took of us packing and getting ready to go.

A picture with my cousin Courtney who is just 6 months younger than me. Come to find out she is pregnant as well in this picture and due with her baby only a few days before me. We'll both be having December babies around the same time! So fun! It's a shame we don't live closer to have the opportunity to hang out more often.

Braxton brought Grandpa and Grandma books several times that morning for them to read to him. He truly loves books, or is it normal for kids to choose books over toys?

Jackson and dad putting on the car top.

Packed and ready for good-byes.

Braxton sleeping in the car on the ride home. He had just enjoyed several Cheetos as you can tell from the leftovers on his face.

Well that was our trip. It was nice to have a week of vacation. I was even more thrilled to get to take Jackson with me. There's been several occasions where Jackson would try to get the time off work and he would totally plan on going with us to wherever we where going but would end up only getting approved for some of the days off or none at all. So for him to get a whole week off was huge for us! I'm very thankful for that, not only did he get the time off but he worked there long enough that it was paid vacation for him as well! We weren't sure when he would qualify for that but what a huge blessing that was for us, totally caught us both by surprise! Jackson was such a big help too, as far as loading the car and helping out with Braxton whenever needed. Such a great daddy. Thank you so much for all your help Jackson! I'm so glad we got the oppurtunity to see our Grandparents and for Braxton to see his Great Grandparents for the first time along with the rest of the California family. Such a fun trip! Thanx mom and dad for volunteering your car and taking us along with you, such a big help! Love and miss my California family already!
