We have an 18 month old baby in the house now! With that came a doctors appointment. Infact, I was told that his next doctors visit wouldn't be until the age of 2 now! No more doctor appointments every few months, for him anyways.
His 18 month old doctors appt was on,
September 19, 2014
Weight: 29 lb. (gained about 2.1 lb.)
Height: 2' 8" (33 in)
Head Circumference: 20 in
His weight stayed in the 90-95th percentile.
His length stayed in the 75th perecentile.
Head circumference stayed in the 95-98th.
Immunizations: Hepatitis A and Flu shot
Well, this doctor visit was no different than any other. Braxton's doing great! The best news of all from this visit, is no more shots or vaccinations till the age of 5! Yeah! I'm so glad thats over with. Braxton was starting to get the routine down, that if layed on a bed naked, he knew he was getting a shot. Also once again, no ear infection. Hopefully we are in the clear of those. It's just so hard to tell with him, because he still tugs at his ears on occasion or puts his fingers in his ears. Maybe its just extra drainage. The one thing I remember the most from his doctor appointment is Braxton opening up the door in the doctors office to escape from the room and the doctor said that was a 2-year old trait. Time to put door handle covers in our house now.
Nothing really new with him that I can think of. He runs everywhere and jabbers all the time. I wish I knew what he was saying, he speaks his mind all the time. It's fun to watch him play with Maximus as well. If we tell Maximus to go outside, Braxton will start to jabber quite loudly at the dog as well. He's probably telling the dog to go outside in his own language. In fact Braxton will grab Max's collar and try pulling him to the back door by himself. I guess he's seen Jackson and I do it enough that he thinks he needs to grab his collar as well. Max is so good to just let him do what he wants and not really care what Braxton does to him.
Braxton is still using sign language with us. Not a ton of words, but just the basics and all the ones I've listed before. He'll even try to sign some of the words that they sing in the movie "signing time" while watching it. The signs he uses the most are "eat", "more", and "please". Please is my favorite. He knows "thank you" but doesn't use that one as often as he uses "please", he says "please" all the time. He also knows a lot of his animals. I found a bunch of animal figurines and laid them out on the floor for him asking to pick up certain ones and put them in the basket. He got them all right.
Not much more to say than that. He still loves all the things I have listed before in his last age update. He's a happy little boy and its fun to watch him grow and change everyday.
