So as I said in his last 6 month update, Braxton's doctor wanted to get his head checked by a specialist and his hips x-rayed just to make sure everything is growing the way it's suppose to be. Well, I didn't get any pictures of when we went to the head specialist because the specialist didn't really do anything. I mean he did feel his head and was probably only in there for about 5 minutes total, just not much happened. The specialist came in, felt his head and said that Braxton's "abnormal head shape" I guess you could call it, is very mild and hardly even noticeable. Braxton's pediatrician thought his head looked great, just wanted to make sure the sides of his head were fine because there was a very slight bulge. The specialist was nice the whole time and even apologized for me making such a long trip to get his head checked. He obviously thought by that comment that his head was in great shape and that we shouldn't worry.
So not only did his head shape turn out great but also his X-ray did too! His hips are great and won't need further check ups for his hips. As seen below, I snapped some pictures at Primary's when they were doing the X-ray. The pictures are a little boring but it's just kind of nice to have them on hand for future record keeping. By the time we got to the X-ray of his hips, Braxton was super tired and just wanted to take a nap hence his sad tears near the end of his X-ray. We went straight in for his X-ray following his head check up which ended up taking most of the morning.
Oh and to add another positive note, I took him to the Doctors today and got his ears checked and his ear infection is all cleared up now! Yeah! I hope it just stays that way now!
Overall, as I said up above. We have a healthy happy baby boy with no chance of a head or hip problem anymore! We are still working with Physical Therapy to work on his neck muscles and strength training, but other than that he is doing great!
