Darn that Shelley football addiction that my parents have! Haha, just kidding! I once again gave them a reason to come up for a visit. I found out that there was a Shelley football game in Preston Idaho, so I came up with a great idea! I'll go to Preston and meet up with my parents to watch the football game, and than we can all head back to my place in Utah for General Conference weekend and watch it together at our house! Which I'm now doubting they'll come back for conference ever again, we maybe only watched one session out of the four because we got busy with other things that needed to be done. We went grocery shopping on Saturday morning before conference but went to go pick up Braxton's 6-month pictures which took longer than expected. So there goes the 1st half. Than while grocery shopping, Braxton kept fidgeting with his ear, so we figured that he had an ear infection. So off to the doctors we went during the 2nd session. Sure enough, he had an ear infection. Poor baby! Than Sunday, we did watch the morning session of conference, but than had a fun visit with Wade and Cadi during the second half of conference. Whoops, oh well, thank goodness for technology that we could read or watch it again over the internet. Sorry mom! I didn't mean to keep you occupied, I honestly planned on watching all of conference. On the positive note, the boys did make it to Priesthood! :)
So back to the Preston trip, my parents were game with that idea of coming to Utah afterwards. So off to Preston Idaho we went. Jackson really wanted to go but had to work and wasn't going to get off in time to come with us. :( We sure did miss him! Anyhow, Braxton and I made it to Preston and watched the game with my parents. Braxton did pretty good despite the cold weather and all the extra layers of clothing he had on to keep warm. But in the end, I think my baby is at this point in his life of not wanting to be held anymore, thank goodness he can't crawl yet. Braxton just loves to sit on his own and do his own thing. If I'm walking around he's fine with being held, but if I'm just sitting there he doesn't want to be held or sit in my lap. He's very squirmy. Luckily we were close to an open spot for him to sit. I put down some blankets to keep his bum warm and sat him down on his own with some toys. He sure did look pretty cute! Pretty soon we pulled out his stroller to give him something else to sit on and keep him warm and cozy.
After the game, Emily wanted us to stop in Ogden and drop off some Halloween Decorations for her to use to decorate her apartment. I didn't know this beforehand but I just went with the flow and tagged along to Ogden. When we were there getting out all of the stuff that my parents brought for Emily, I said to Emily, "How come you get all those Halloween decorations?" And Emily instantly said, "I'm not married." Point well taken. So I didn't ask about it again, but my loving parents, as always putting us kids first, bought Jackson and I, Halloween Decorations! When we were at Walmart grocery shopping, they surprised me and bought some Halloween decorations for Jackson and I. I kept telling them, that they didn't have to do that and that we were okay with out some for this year. But they just kept on saying, "Oh, it really doesn't cost that much" and kept putting stuff in there shopping cart. True statement, but it does add up. Either way, we got a bunch of cool stuff! So later that Saturday night after priesthood, we got to work at putting up the decorations. It was fun, I'm really not big into decorating by myself or at least doing crafty things on my own, hence the reason my house looks boring, but with family, FUN! I'm all about doing crazy ridiculous stuff like that. Come on folks, putting up decorations at 2:00 in the morning! Who does that?! So since this was our first year of actually decorating our house, we weren't quite sure on how to do it. So when my dad went to put up the lights with the hooks he bought, it wouldn't work for my type of porch. So once again, loving father headed to walmart to get the right tools for me, despite the time of day we were doing this crazy act. Thanx so much mom and dad! Our house looks great!! :) We love it!
This picture was taken while I was in the inside putting up window gel stickers.
See that picture below on the right. My dad was getting all tangled up in the spider web, haha! It was great! He's such a good sport. Once again, the timing of this is around 2AM and if any of you have ever been up this late, you get to the point where you are so tired that "anything" is considered funny. We were just laughing at all sorts of stuff. But specifically this moment of dad putting up the spiderwebs, mom and I were just below him laughing. It's not like there was anything we could do for him. We all can't get on the ladder. Poor guy! Thanx so much dad! :)
My mom made all these ghosts for me, yep I didn't make a single one. It just looked so hard to do and I had no desire to make em, I stood by her side and kept her company and most definitely helped her put them out on the bushes. Much thanx to you too mom!
Even though this trip for my parents was a very last minute type of thing, Wade with his wife and kids were able to come over for a visit on Sunday.
It was fun, Cadi thought to bring over some Halloween sugar cookies to frost and decorate. It was way fun! Great idea Cadi! :)
I just love this picture of Braxton, you can just see his desire in this picture to touch that cookie and help out! :) He just looks so focused on what mommy is doing with that cookie!
Every now and than my parents will put together little gift bags of tiny toys, activities, and snacks for there grandkids. So that is what you see below, super cute pic of Zaebyn hugging his fruit snack! :)
Love this picture of Zaeb below. My dad using our laser to play with the dogs, just priceless!
Emily told us on Friday night that she had to work and wouldn't be able to stop by for a visit. But she surprised us and showed up! Not only did she show up, bought she brought stuff to make me a huge spider! :) Don't know how she came up with the idea but I think it turned out awesome! Thanx Em!

Oh Rachy I loved this post! So great! Thank you so much for posting and I can kind of sort of be a part of it all! Love and miss you guys. So many different pictures were way cute. I loved the one of Dad, Wade and Zabe on the floor with that puzzle. And I liked the one of Braxton looking at Xylie.
